It has never been more imperative to have a mobile friendly website. Smart phones and tablets are being used to access the Internet more and more each day so if your website isn’t designed with mobile devices in mind then you could be missing out on a great deal of traffic. Certainly now that Google has confirmed that, when searching on a mobile device, your website will rank better in their results pages if you have a mobile friendly website.
When you resize the window of a responsive website the page layout shape shifts and displays differently to best suit the width of the window. So when you open a responsive website on a mobile device it will automatically resize the page accordingly. To future proof your website you need to make sure your website design is responsive. There are a multitude of screen sizes in use for all devices which makes it imperative that you have a responsive website.
We offer two Content Management Systems (CMS) which will enable you to update your website on a regular basis once Designosaur have designed and built it for you. These are WordPress using Elementor Pro, a front-end page builder, and Architect by W/O Code which is also a front-end page builder.
WordPress is trusted by the best and currently powers approx 35% of all websites from hobby blogs to the biggest news sites online and has powerful features with limitless possibilities. WordPress is an open source Content Management System (CMS) which started its life as a simple blogging solution. As an open source platform that’s free to use, developers have added extensive functionalities over the years, pushing it into a full fledged CMS.
We build WordPress websites in Elementor Pro, a front-end editor and use a host of free and premium plugins. With WordPress, pretty much anything is possible, this is why we always recommend to use WordPress if you wish to add some functionality, either now or in the future, that might not be possible when using Without Code. But with great power comes great responsibility – WordPress sites need constant updates, patches and monitoring for security vulnerabilities which we take care with our ongoing WordPress Care Plan.
Without Code is a cloud based site builder that uses a visual editor to create websites with the use of widgets. All widgets are built by the Without Code development team and are native to the platform. They do not expose your site to security vulnerabilities, and are updated regularly to include new features.
Without Code was built from the ground up as a dedicated site builder and, as it’s not open source, it has some limitations compared to WordPress. Don’t let this put you off as it has some powerful features and we have built some beautiful website in Without Code.
We often suggest this platform to customers that just require a brochure website or for those with smaller budgets as this tends to be a cheaper option than WordPress, and as the sytem and widgets are updated by the Without Code developers, there is no need for ongoing management packages.
